I honestly haven't even finished it yet but as soon as I got to the part were he says his cancer came back I was like NOOOO YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO MEEEE ANBDJKFHIOFDIJ!!! But honestly the writing is so beautiful and I really don't want it to end, some of the words used in the book I didn't even know the meaning of so I had to look them up lol. But it's honestly such a raw and beautiful love story. I love how every thought and emotion of Hazel is so thoroughly portrayed and descriptive. And although at every single turn Augustus and Hazel are faced with situations and challenges that could have easily broken a regular person completely and caused them to shut down, they find a way to use their life experiences to look past the bad and fight the depressing feelings and the "pain that demands to be felt". The fact that this book really dogs on how society treats cancer patients honestly opened my eyes about a lot of things including how those suffering from it may feel about the world around them. Maybe the world would be a better place if we all though like Augustus and Hazel but then again who knows. I know no one will probably take the time to read my thoughts on it so far, but thank you John Green for showing me time and time again that " Life is not a wish granting factory" but if we are able to find the small pockets of joy that make life worth living, it sure is worth the pain. (Plus I'm a 15 year old teenager so I guess that says a lot)
