The first 2/3 was funny and charming at times. After Bean is killed, as expected, it's dark turn, they dismembered Bean, which is a new outcome for him, broke the vibe of the movie and not for the better.

Season 1 was tightly scripted and told a great story in a disciplined, linear way. It's secondary stories rarely meandered and served the main storyline.
Season 2. What happened? It was overlong, secondary storyline took up most of 4 episodes. All the virtues of season 1 were not just gone, but obliterated.

Hardly the mind blowing series that everybody is excited about. Seems like a typical product the last decades works of Science Fiction. I enjoyed it better when it had the creepy boy, initially creepy stranger, ghost ship, psychologically troubled woman and the other odd of stereotypes. So they're living in a simulation to help pass the time as they hurtle through space to whatever God forsaken Planet they're moving to. The ending was hardly a surprise by any stretch since you begin to figure out about halfway through that highly advanced technology is in background. It's entertaining enough but there is really nothing too nique or surprising about it.
