The starting morals of this movie are twisted and rediculous! After spending an hour singing and dancing to songs about how ugly people are horrible, they then have a montage about how you can “change yourself” to become someone else by wearing different clothes or makeup. They then proceed to take the last 5 minutes of the movie to “drive home” the idea that being ugly is ok, not that you are not ugly, but that you ARE ugly, but it’s ok. 😳 Do you honestly think that children are going to get a good moral understanding after first having it beaten into their heads that you have to be pretty (for over an hour) and then just having 5 minutes of a somewhat vague choral rendition that ugly is ok. This movie was horrible and barely tolerable to sit through for the sake of my son liking it. Luckily, he is too young to recognize most of the awful quips thrown at him, but I will most definitely NOT be letting him watch this again.
