Me and my friend love the books. And we were very excited that there was a show! But we were a bit disappointed because of how poorly it resembled the “One of Us is Lying” book series. It left out very important characters and events and put in unnecessary scenes. They also made it more predictable for the people who have not read the books. And when we found out the secrets immediately we didn’t find out with the rest of Bayview high. So it left out the element of mystery. I felt that the story line manly focused more on Addy and her relationships. Making her seem like the main character. When in the books it is shown that it is all of them. But that does not mean we did not enjoy it! We loved the show it was very interesting! And since we had already read the books it was a little more fun seeing what the show could add! We just wouldn’t say that it was a series based off of “One of Us is Lying” more of loosely inspired. But overall we thought the show was good. All thought it could have more of the book in it! ☺️
