HORRORBLE MUSICK

Like the original, The new Toxic Avenger is not for everyone. It’s a live action cartoon with silly gratuitous humour and gross out gags. If you are familiar with Troma?, You know what you’re getting into. However, if you’re a fan of the original films and are going in with high expectations? You’ll probably be disappointed. The movie does its best to stay true to the original, while also playing it safe with a completely new origin story and a stellar cast. Overall, I enjoyed seeing it in theatres. I’d probably rank it a close second to the first film. Although, I could see audiences being very divisive on this one. It really comes down to personal opinion, but it’s a decent modernization nonetheless. ☢️🧪🎞️🍿
