Great Australian story with Sam Neil & Michael Caton as the waring brothers and is all of these things - funny, sad and poignant and real.

Shining a light on shocking and heartbreakingly sad situations of Australian immigration detention centres that these innocent souls have had to endure. Well acted and again so sad as based on true stories. The refugees have escaped life threatening issues in their home countries, hoping for a new life in Australia to be confined to such a heartless place for years under a brutal regime. Shocking that this is Australia and that the govt has allowed this to be made and Netflix to show the world the truth or some of it.

Loved Moroccan visuals (scenery, markets and accommodation) oh and the story. Wanted something light and this Moroccan writers retreat movie filled the brief. Actors Dern & Hemsworth believable and a good watch.

Slow burn with lots of family secrets to hide. Well defined characters attempting to maintain a family business and set in stunning Florida Keys, so the almost perfect scenery is secondary to the unfolding dramas.
