Definitely the scariest video game I've ever played. The environment and setting of the game was just so dark, grim and depressing. The music and sound effect was extraordinary haunting. There will be moments of heart attack especially when the aliens pop out from the vent. The only frustration I had with this game are the puzzles and character model. When comparing the 2008's model with the remake, 2008 character model looks much more appealing than the remake. One good example is Nicole. In 2008, she looks like a lady in her early 30's but in the remake she looks like a granny. And some of the puzzles are frustratingly difficult to the point that I had to take a break from the game and look up on youtube for answers. BTW I didn't play the original game and this is my first entry to the dead space universe. Gameplay wise, it was satisfying to dismember the enemy limbs or burn them alive with the tools given to you. There are many ways to kill the enemy but sometime the game just throw at you an overwhelming number of enemies to the point that you can't control Isaac because the aliens are blocking your path on the cramp corridor of the Ushimura ship leading to your death. Despite all the frustration,pure nightmare fuel is all I can say about this game. The game is played on PS5
