Julia obviously has a ton of unresolved insecurities and regret about the choices she's made. She's very controlling of everyone, ironic for someone who left a community because of how "controlling" it was. She cries she wants acceptance and understanding, but isn't ready to offer any to anyone who may still find their place in judaism. She yells about being a self made woman but also conveniently married a very wealthy man who employs her and all her children. The amount she focuses on sex seems more like a 14 year old trying to get a reaction from everyone around her. It just seems she is trying desperately to get approval from everyone to fill the void left by disappointing her family. Just deal with your issues lady, and stop making your kids act as your therapist. This show feels a lot like her way of trying to write the story she wishes she had of an empowered, self confident woman while skipping over the realities of the choices she made and what they cost her (family, self respect).
