Just watched it .
Now I’m a massive Superman fan, I have been my entire life… I worked in a Comicbook store for 4 years as a young man & as an actor I’ve played Superman in the UK premiere of the Superman musical.
I enjoyed Man of Steel & loved the Snyder cut of Justice League, though in both cases I felt that key elements of Superman’s character were missed or misrepresented… I thought Cavill was great & I feel he was let down by the writing & the tone of the film(s)
I adored Superman I thought the tone was right, I thought Corenswet was incredible. Really embodied the character, showed clear differences between Supes and Clark. Also he embodied hope & goodness. I had a couple of issues with some inconsistencies of his power levels, but I thought overall his performance & the movie was superb, & everything a Superman movie should be. I loved Clark’s relationship with Ma & Pa Kent, but I won’t say about what, to avoid spoilers…
Rachel Brosnahan was great, & it was great to see Lois having an actual role in the film, & not just being a bystander or damsel.
Nicholas Hoult was a great Lex… I loved that envy was his driving force, beyond his intelligence and lust for money & power.
Supporting cast were amazing too, particular mention to Nathan Fillion as a superbly comic accurate Guy Gardner.
I give this movie 9/10 I was so happy to see a faithful representation of the greatest superhero of all time. I can’t wait for the sequel 😁
