Director attempted for an action pack, commercial pan India movie with an humor stench. There are surprising elements with big star list (Mohanlal, Shivaji, Jacki Sheroff) similar to MCU. Nelson also attempted for a non-linear story telling plot, similar to Christopher Nolan or Vettrimaran. It is not always too many cooks will spoil the soup, at times too many ingredients and decorations, also spoil the soup. Attempting to achieve everything from a single movie is a good attempt, however the root of the good cinema is the plot, and Jailer movie lacks a strong plot. The shallow plot on the movie, barely moves . There are loads of good stories available all around, and Tamil directors have got all the potential to execute it perfectly, and make good cinema like malayalam industry. But often tamil industry fall behind, in an attempt to make pan India movies, but still not worse than the Bollywood industry. There are couple of scenes in movie, where Rajnikanth shouting at women resemble Rajinikanth male chauvinism movie like padayappa, also there is no female lead in the movie. Anirudh and Rajinikanth did their best similar to all other movies, but that is not enough to make a good movie. Jailer movie is not the perfect blend, and it lacks the plot.
