I tried reading the first book , and gave up after 200 pages meticulous boredom. I'm now over 100 pages into the second book and think these books pale to the real Asimov Foundation Series. Asimov had a crisp simplicity in writing style that kept my eyes glued to the pages, not these books. I find my mind wondering and holding my interest drudging through the pages Another thing ,this book has so many characters and subplots to keep track of. I think the books should have picked up the timeliness after "Foundation and Earth", not a rehash of Seldon's life and exploits.
