Today (Oct 10th) Thomas Friedman is extolling the necessity of "natural" gas. Natural gas is actually composed mostly of methane, a super dangerous greenhouse gas, actually many times more powerful than CO2. Fracking to obtain methane (not "natural") gas, transporting it in pipes that leak and fail, and burning it creates enormous environmental and climate problems. There are 3.2 million abandoned wells in the US. all leaking dangerous methane gas. Let's have a discussion about how we are going to obtain and use energy based on the facts!
