Just finished American Primeval, and I have to say—this series is absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, it’s an intense, gripping, and immersive journey into the brutal and unforgiving American frontier of the 1850s. The storytelling is raw and unflinching, making you feel like you’ve been transported back in time, facing the same dangers, hardships, and moral dilemmas as the characters. The cinematography is stunning, the action is relentless, and the tension never lets up. Every moment feels authentic, from the harsh wilderness to the visceral conflicts between settlers, Indigenous tribes, and survivalists trying to carve out a place in a land filled with danger. The cast is outstanding across the board, but special mention has to go to Betty Gilpin—she is simply phenomenal. As always, she delivers a powerhouse performance, bringing depth, strength, and raw emotion to her role. She never fails to captivate, and this might be one of her best performances yet.
