Watched it on March 17, 2024 in NYC. This is the worst thing I have ever seen. I do not recommend it - unless you enjoy suffering. The reason this musical has no intermission is because half the people would be gone midway if they had a chance to escape. What horrified me the most is there were some people who seemingly enjoyed this fast-food of Broadway, cheering from the seats - these people vote, they walk among us. (Maybe they were shills?) The overall feeling was that the music and songs were written by an early iteration of chatGPT. There is basically just one joke in all of the musical - and it gets repeated ten times throughout - about the fact that one of the queens got beheaded and so her life was more miserable than the life of other queens. My ears withered towards the end. Sometime towards the end of the musical the cast asks rhetorically if they should have spent the performance comparing each other’s misery as queens. The resounding answer is “no”. Singers did have good voices and it is heart-breaking their talent is being spent on this…
