I was not sure of what to expect out of this movie since I didn't watch the trailer, although I did see a short clip that made it seem entertaining (the comic one with Philo and Molly at the spa.)
The flashback of Mercy's past was poorly exhibited!
That could have been one of those "moments" that latch onto viewers emotions and sympathy but it only brought an "oh, so that's what happened!" moment.
I then expected a femme fatal venturing into a vengeful streak prepared, but she proved naive with too many lose ends.
And the "end" baffled me. I'm sure it was probably meant to be left for interpretation but it did not make sense to the plot after what unraveled.
Bottomline, there was a lot of promising scenes only inadequately executed, and a lot of unnecessary ones too.
Overall there was no enthralling buildup to the storyline which proved the movie not à la hauteur to the overrated hype it's getting.
PS: The cast was nothing short of amazing, they did a great job as actors.
