Cold Justice is an engrossing thriller that keeps you hooked since its beginning to the very end, and leaves you bedazzled with an astounding plot twist.
What captured me most was the fact that the protagonist of the story, Akash, ostensibly the best defence layer in India, is put in a situation where due to some unusual and unfavorable circumstances, he can't represent his ex-girlfriend, Judge Shilpa, who is accused of the heinous crime of committing a murder. It's painful to see him suffer as he still has feelings for her and can't directly help out Shilpa in any legal capacity, but at the same time, the wits he uses to make her triumph in an indirect manner makes the story all the more engaging.
It was after a long time that I read a book where the characters were so cool and connectable. And apart from his mastery at fostering thrill, Vish Dhamija manages to delight with a very remarkable humour, that makes his writing wholesome and enjoyable in every way possible.
