Black Clover Sword of the Wizard King gets a solid 8 out of 10 from me. The plot of this story is what gave it an 8 instead of something higher for me The villians (all 4 of them) had amazing designs and were voice acted perfectly. But I wish they could have fleshed out their reasons for wanting to destroy the kingdom a bit more than breif flashbacks. They could've easily replaced some of the movies content with proper back stories for each villian and built upon the history of the world of Black Clover. The music in this was phenomenal. Every single OST brought so much more life into whatever was going on at that specific moment. Especially the fights. The animation was top tier. Even CGI was used tastefully and not excessively, but nevertheless I'm still not a huge fan of it. Especially the wide angle spin shots they seemed to use a lot used a bit too much CGI in my opinion In conclusion I think this movie was brilliant and the best we've ever seen from studio Perriot. Not just for Black Clover but for all their work and I'm excited to see what their future projects might hold.
