I'm sitting inside today watching After Life and absolutely loving it. There is a blizzard happening outside so I don't feel guilty binge watching. I really didn't know Ricky Gervais except as hosting The Golden Globes and the odd interview and of course, I don't know him now but I do know I would be terrified to be butt end of his jokes. He is ruthless! This series has definitely shown him as a caring, loving and vulnerable human being. The show is brilliant as the English would say and does a wonderful job of storey telling. Well done!
