at the beginning it was good, you feel the emotions of the main character with the betrayal and stuff. However, the side characters suck. Raphtalia could’ve been so much better with the slave thing, and the female leads don’t know the difference between a father figure and a romantic interest. It also kept painting all characters that weren’t friends with naofumi in a bad light, like the sword and bow hero. They caught the malty cheating and went to explore the church. The villains were also done badly, there wasn’t any backstory or anything like that. However, i liked the way it handled controversial things and how the main character is not a basic shonen mc.
