Some of you may not agree with my rating but this is because I personally didn’t have the satisfaction of having the star be a boy and main love interest with asha. Originally, Star was meant to be more of a shape-shifting "Star Boy." Wish's character art director, Bill Schwab, stated: "I designed a human character, part magical, part glowing, inspired a bit by Peter Pan” I mean people have pointed out references to other Disney moves and I think they did this to honour disneys anniversary which is a cool and nice thing to add. Many people say that we only have the star as it is now for the merchandising and well that may be true, but I am pretty sure that there are some people out there like me who would have had preferred the star become a boy, a star boy and have him shape shift from a boy to the star that we have now, so they can still keep the merchandising as it is, if that makes any sense. I would’ve really loved the concept of Starboy. As well as him perhaps be the main character or second main character, as there aren’t many Disney movies with a main male character as it is always a female princess or female main character. Also I think asha should understand that there are some wishes that shouldn’t be granted coz what if someone wanted to do hard to someone or unjust wishes but in my opinion the king did over control what wishes can be granted as he stated that he granted 14 wishes in one year.
