This review is just for the first episode, not the whole season; I assume the show will get most fascinating after each episode. I was extremely excited when I heard The Weeknd (Abel) and Sam Levinson from Euphoria created this new Drama series, The Idol; Abel is exceptionally creative, and Sam Levinson made the drama series Euphoria which is just amazing. After watching the first episode, I wanted to know more about what Jocelyn went through, and I wish there were more of a storyline to follow. I have seen articles from Fox News saying the show was quite disturbing, correlating to the sex scenes, which I can't entirely agree with. I’m hoping that with every episode, it gets more exciting. But I have to say, with Euphoria, I was extremely eager to see the next episode and was excited to see the newest episode. I gave the episode a 3 star mainly because I felt there was no storyline, and I thought I didn’t feel like I knew anything about Jocelyn's personality. Honestly, I’m looking forward to what The Idol has to offer.
