SPOILER ALERT I loved the show and how they kept true to a lot of history. But I understand they had to create some fictional characters and events. I was disappointed with the movie. Al was pretty much worthless. Rather than have him die like that (which didn’t really happen), they could’ve had the Gem fire and made that something that changed the lives of some characters. Or even the big Deadwood fire that took out 300 buildings. I did like how Bullock seemed more comfortable in his job and home life. If the point was to tie up loose ends, I didn’t see much of that other than Mrs Ellsworth out bidding Hearst on Charlie’s plot of land and Swearengen giving the Gem to Saul & Trixie.
