Anybody who hates Mariah Carey will understand her from reading this book. Any fan will love and respect her even more. Any music critic who admonishes her for being uninspired and mediocre in her music and who questions her place and identity in the art form (Hello Rolling Stone magazine and Robert Christgau, I am looking at you!) will lose their credibility.
