This movie is for movie goers who are interested in the "mind-body" connection towards self-healing. I loved the movie because in one scene, it showed how the "hero of the movie" healed his Mother's broken kneecap so she could at least, walk with a cane. Before his intervention, his Mother said that she was not able to walk at all. On a personal note, I just had foot surgery to have an extra bone removed. I used the same healing technique shown in the movie on myself, and did feel some pain relief.
So, for counselors, alternative healers, people interested in helping humanity, this movie is for you. For those people who are unable to read at least at a sixth grade English capacity, then, you will have a hard time reading the subtitles to understand what the movie is about. I did read online about how the hero in the movie started his own religion called, "Happy Science," with some people calling it a cult. However, the accurate definition of a true "cult" indicates that Happy Science is NOT a cult. Once again, people bash a foreigner's philosophy simply because they don't understand him. I think the "hero" in the movie is who he portrays himself to be, a successful Japanese author who has gone on to serve humanity on a broader level in spreading "Happy Science." He is making people's lives healthier and happier. I have a Master's Degree obtained in the US and think this is a great movie. I hope everyone can see this "feel good, inspirational movie.
