Why is the BBC Beyond 100 days becoming mouthpiece for conservative USA. Just now,
1. WSJ reporter was not challenged in her assertion that the Hyde Amendment represents middle ground on the issue of abortion.... A/c to Pew and other surveys found that 58% of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. As its currently the law, the Federal Government has no justification for withholding funding, as provided in the Hyde Amendment.
2. George Will asserted that conservatives believe in small government. Not a peep out of the two reporters to challenge this assertion, and at least make for more interesting and factual discussion. For many years conservatives are only believers in smaller Government with respect to social issues. Larger military is their badge, notwithstanding having higher military spending than the next n countries combined, most of which are supposedly US allies. Conservatives who overwhelmingly vote Republican have presided over some of the highest deficits and the highest increase in deficit spending in the past 30 years.
And his comment that young people think socialism means hanging out, being social ... please!
