Fleabag?! Huh? But then I read two glowing reviews as Season 2 launched, and I took a chance. Started with Season 1 and was intrigued after the first three episodes, but not sure where it was going. Then came episode four, and things started to come together. I also laughed out loud, and I was hooked. Smart, funny, strong female leads, even with all their flaws. The wonderful spectrum of male characters.
I laughed and I wept in my office as I watched at lunchtime. Part if the way through Season 2 I felt this strange emotion - what was it? Not happiness, because I wasn't unhappy. I finally realized it was joy, a feeling I haven't experienced in some time. Fleabag won my heart and then broke it, but it was oh so worth it.
Read the rest of the reviews. Love it or hate it, viewers are experiencing strong emotions, something that can be tough to do these days when it's easy to become numb about what is happening in our world. I long for a Season 3 but also believe the series ended right where and when it should.
