First off, look out for the one star reviews, 2 seperate posts with the exact same critique. Now, Weapons is fantastic, its excellent. I loved it, go see it. Its fun and scary. Above all its interesting. Great acting and some good laughs.

The Alien franchise is my all time favorite, when I was a kid, my friends liked either Star Wars or Star Trek. For me it had to be Alien. This one was great and it paid homage to Alien, Aliens and it tied in elements of Prometheus. The characters are new and there isn't much of a backstory. However, there is alot of holes filled within the Alien universe. It felt exciting again. I see one person saying it relied on Nostalgia, I wonder if this person defends reboots and puts down films that pay respect to the films before and fanbases that love franchises. Great job Fede. Enjoy the movie, it was fun and enjoyable.

Heavily mediocre, not terrible (more annoying and predictable) and far from great. A24 has had better horror movies. The main character Mia is extremely annoying. The scares are alright but it's not ground breaking and it certainly is not the best horror movie of 2023.
