What a depressing movie. There is absolutely *nothing* uplifting about it. The only thing better than if I'd stopped watching the movie after the first finger (nope, I stayed to the bitter end) is if I hadn't started watching it in the first place. The actors were great. The scenery was pretty, though what a desolate area . . . If you want a story about loneliness, despair, mental illness, incest, suicide, animals suffering because of the actions of people, then this movie is for you. If you don't, then give it a hard pass. I wish I had.
