As someone who grew up with Sonic Adventure 2, seeing this story I have cherished deeply since i was a child come to life on the big screen, is nothing short of magical, and emotionally charged. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 raises the bar even further for what it means to be a video game movie - Ultimately a story about navigating grief, and finding hope where there is none. The characters are excellently written, and the stakes of this story provides a spectacle unseen before in a Sonic movie. This movie is something to bring your child to in order to entertain them, yes - but there is no doubt that this film is for the long-time fans of Sonic The Hedgehog, too, with surprisingly dark themes that tap into Shadow The Hedgehog's backstory, and teaches viewers about making the right decision, no matter how difficult it may be. While I am partially disappointed that certain aspects of the story in Sonic Adventure 2 weren't adapted to screen, I can understand why they were cut in order to make the rating, and also to fit into the storyline of the movie series. Regardless, it is by far my favourite of the Sonic Movie franchise, and possibly my favourite film since Across The Spider-Verse. There's also a very familiar song that is sure to get any Sonic fan in the audience jumping out of their seat. Waiting for you in this film is an adventure of unbelievable proportions - the best spent 2 hours of my life, possibly. Would absolutely recommend.

Sonic The Hedgehog blew my expectations out of the water. Once the movie spindashed into cinemas, I knew I had to go watch, it, in my opinion it’s one the greatest video game-themed movies to date. As low as a bar as that may be, it’s still impressive, especially for Sonic’s status in present day media. With the horrible shovel ware that’s come from his series as of recently, it’s nice to see Sonic become revitalised through a cinematic adaption. Hopefully this could spell resurrection for the Sonic Franchise as a whole.

I absolutely adored this series as a kid. Now to see it’s finally come to an end, that we have clarity for the Clones, for Ahsoka’s relationship with Anakin, and at last, more story behind Anakin’s slow and inevitable turn to the dark side. This was the beginning of the end, 6+ years in the making. Though this series ending marks the end of my childhood, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you Star Wars.

This movie ends the series off on a high note. While it isn’t exactly the Endgame for some heroes, others embark on their final journey to stop the Great Titan: Thanos. Marking the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s phase 1 heroes, it opens doors, or dare I say, “Portals” to a whole new series of heroes. By far one of the most emotional movie I’ve ever seen, but the three hours is definitely worth it, especially if you’ve been following the MCU since 2008 like I have. I went to watch this day one in Ireland (it came out April 25th), and even though the cinema was quiet throughout the movie, you could feel the tension and hear people crying when (spoilers) Natasha Romanov died. Especially when Tony Stark sacrificed himself, there was a girl in the back balling her eyes out. I mean, yeah, I was crying too, but not as much as her. The movie really is a tear jerker, and what makes it even more of one is because it was tony’s Destiny to kill Thanos. Me and a bunch of others even started clapping when the movie cut to credits. May I also mention, there is no post credit scene for this movie. However, there is a post-credit AUDIO. It’s the sound of Tony Stark banging the faceplate of the Mark 1 with a hammer in the first movie. And, finally, the Russo brothers bookended the Infinity Saga by making Tony’s last words “I Am Iron Man”, paging homage to the movie that started it all.
