I don’t think cliches such as “we need to be on the same page” or the liberal use of the F word characterized language in Russia in the early 20th century. Because I love Russian history, I watched the full series, but with some revulsion over the script and excessively bad sex scenes. Why these producers take the low road when the underlying story is so powerful is beyond me. Maybe they are secretly appealing to preteens who will watch to ogle over the bawdiness.
