Trash movie. I did not watch the trailer first.
Synopsis said it was directed by a "visionary" director. Visions of grandeur maybe. Opening credits begin with all these filmmaking awards and nominations I didn't read. Ten seconds in, I could tell none of the awards or nominations were for audio production. The voices were completely muffled and difficult to hear.
Slow build to the "discovery" and I already knew two that I would see die. Predictable. Oh, look! zombies! And here is the obvious Ellen Ripley ripoff, followed shortly by the Bishop crawling through the tunnel that is sealed off behind him ripoff. Tunnel? On Mars? They dug a tunnel to pipe air between the domes but didn't create a walkway between them? OK. Lame plot point. Now some Kubrick like dizziness... And.... 51 minutes in, I'm out.
Surprised Liev ever worked again after this. Most would suffer from PTSRD.. Post traumatic starring role disorder.
