I don’t get it. At all. 10 minutes in and already depressed

Want to fall asleep? Watch this. Can leave room and go things around the house and catch up with plot-there’s a foreign country involved-i don’t think they are even speaking language. No Bridges doesn’t redeem this very poor plot/execution

So far having a very hard time following the first episode-it jumps a LOT may be too much prestige and pretentiousness -waiting for it to grab me

Don’t start watching as show just continues with more sadism…it never ends season two. I enjoyed parts of season one-but it goes south afterwards

One star for feeling in Florence and Italian beauty. The rest? Non stop-like non-stop plotting, backstabbing, sword stabbing, different providences fighting, popes and leaders fighting over money. Fight over everything, more fighting. Didn’t know so much violence and bitterness could be so condensed but it is here. Who likes to watch constant slaying of people with no mercy or care. The Vikings is less brutal. Guess I’ve gotten too old for such violence. Used to love violent shows-can’t bear them now.

I’ve watched so many period dramas of this sort as can not find healthy entertainment. It’s sad here in 2023 we are looking at banning books, abortions, to come to tv to find a girl-not a woman-a girl raped and possibly will die from a abortion. These shows don’t integrate any joy, humor-nothing. I’m wondering more and more about my fellow man, and women who must demand these deeply bleak and oppressive things to watch for entertainment. We are human beings. We can do and demand much much better. Our society is just sick.

Starts out engaging. Very disconnected family that doesn’t know how to talk. Lot of volatility and dysfunction. Beginning was promising.

I’m not sure I get public viewpoint anymore. I love a good thriller-if it’s really good. But a mass shooting 21 minutes in (guess I should be grateful it wasn’t 10!), involving a young child? What gives? How is this possibly construed as entertainment? But mass USA loves this crap.

Has anyone noticed how utterly BORING the main character is? I’m not sure how this show took off except a lot of mini mysteries, but a serious leap down from Dexter.
