I am not Jewish but A. It was impossible not to notice this was an ethnic movie for those who are Jewish. I feel guilty just watching the interactions between the members of this family. It is exhausting. Can't say I made it through the entire movie...had to fast forward or fall asleep. From the obvious, menorah's, stars of David, funeral paraphanalia, etc. it was an excersize in pointing out that it was a movie for semites, not the rest of us. Sad.

I thought Deliverance was very well done. Andrea Day, Monique of the incomparable Glenn Close were so convincing that I believed the story line. I would watch Monique with interest as she really did an excellent job as Cynthia. Every movement and nuance was perfect. It was surprising to Glenn Close...this elegant and classy lady play a tart. Enjoyed it and hope Lee Daniels does more movies. Good job to all.

I could watch Jeff Bridges in any movie but this movie was well written and well executed so I got to watch one of my favorite actors in a movie that was perfect for him.
