Honestly, the bad outweighs the good for me, but I’m a recreational gamer who isn’t going to dedicate tons of money to having the best gaming rig on earth, or tons of hours to playing it. I just want to play occasionally and still be able to have fun.
Bad:
Hit marking is SUPER inconsistent in multiplayer.
Match making is incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes you end up in matches that are pretty competitive, but if you’re trying to play in normal hours for a person with a job, you end up in tons of really uneven matches, where one team is just smashing the other.
Lots of the maps seem designed to encourage the most irritating styles of play, like camping, or super defensive tactics.
Ultimately, the game CAN be fun when your hits are being marked correctly and you’re not getting dumped into a super uneven lobby or with a bunch of players who are way beyond your skill level, but that’s increasingly rare. If you’re a serious gamer or a kid who has nothing better to do, maybe that’s not an issue for you.
But if you’re a recreational gamer, you’ll probably find yourself wanting to throw your game system out a window more often than you’ll find yourself enjoying it, at least in multiplayer.
