Really bad movie that seems to rely solely on being a Stephen King adaptation. I honestly wanted to leave pretty early on into the movie but stayed to get my money's worth. There was no effort put into character or plot development so it was hard to feel anything for them when they died. It's all stupid immature misogynistic vibes and attempts at lowbrow comedy. There is just not much there unfortunately..

Really lazy "attempt" at a (somewhat?) sequel to a classic film. Every other scene was basically a music video invoking "white southern pride" vibes with long scenes involving little or no dialogue and just shitty country music as they get their storm chasing gear together or look at old pictures etc.. I'm not sure this movie had any plot points at all. It seemed like it was trying to rely entirely on nostalgia. Very bad music video..

Like someone else mentioned, this movie was simply perfect. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The tension build up was nearly unbearable at times. It was so intense I felt like I couldn't tolerate much more of it, and I love horror movies. This is the best horror/suspense movie I've seen in a long time. The whole genre is so tired imo with silly movies like Smile that rely on cheap jump scares and predictable tropes. But this movie was so unique it was refreshing. It kept me guessing the entire time. The pacing and tension building were perfect. Hugh Grant is perfect in his role as a sadist on a mission to make the missionaries consider or rather reconsider their faith and everything they believe. I will be thinking of this movie for some time to come. A+ for a unique, out of the box experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat, anticipating with dread what may lie behind the next door..

This movie was terrible. Not realistic in the least, no depth, no character development, no plot. Jeffrey Dean Morgan makes what is basically a cameo and even that was bad. I almost stopped watching at the beginning of the movie when the girls climb the impossibly tall tower, apparently without any gear, and they each dangle from the top by one hand while they take selfies 😬 they tried to explain this by implying that their motivation was to take pics to post social media but it goes without saying that it is not realistic at all that they would even climb the tower in the first place. This movie might be good for you if you just like putting something on in the background or if you are easily entertained. Otherwise there's really nothing to see here.

This show is so bad; the characters are as one dimensional as paper dolls and the plot and conflicts that arise are equally cheesy. For instance, in the second season Sasha rekindles her love with the man of her dreams (he's rich, handsome as a god and somehow always available) but she has always been an independent woman and she can't possibly have both a relationship and a successful career (yes, the show actually implies that the two are mutually exclusive) so the bf becomes a major conflict. There is zero effort put into fleshing out real characters and complex plotlines, instead the show lazily relies on old tropes and stereotypes that are just...bad. And not even the funny kind of bad. The characters are all rich, perfect looking and flawless which makes them unrelatable. They're also ridiculously one dimensional (the protagonist is a frustrated housewife who misses her "glory days" when she could be "bad" with her "rebellious rocker bad boy motorcycle riding bf" while the "rich and nice but boring hubby" works hard to keep his family together.) In spite of all this I did watch the entire first season and the first few episodes of the second season before finally turning it off after suffering too many eyeroll-inducing moments. The steamy sex scenes and cheesy exaggerated plotlines are just enough to keep my interest although barely.. hopefully next time Netflix can actually sit down and spend some time working on relatable, realistic characters with interesting plots rather than this laughable albeit entertaining mess
