Pong is, simply put, a masterpiece. The story, the character design, the multitude of easter eggs, and the wonderful graphics all come together to create a beautiful game that is both pleasing to the eye and fun to play.
This review will describe my experience in every stage of the game. That being said, the rest of this review will contain SPOILERS, so please buy the game before reading this (if you want to play it).
EARLY GAME:
The early game of pong is a masterclass in immersion. You meet Shaggy, the NPC who will guide you through the rest of the game. (I want to take this time to say that you can't even tell that the voice acting for the game is AI generated). You do a few basic quests and are rewarded a handful of SkibiGems and 1 Ohio Token for your trouble. You get introduced to the combat system (which feels really smooth by the way) and take on the first boss of the game: the Beta Rizzler. This bossfight can be kind of difficult on your first playthrough, but by my 3rd playthrough I could beat him sub 5 mins. Once you send the Beta Rizzler to Jesus, you hawk tuah his essence and unlock what could possibly be the most OP ability in the game: Mewing. I used Mewing as my go-to crowd control ability for the entire playthrough as the more betas you mog with it, the more damage you do. After doing a few side quests and teaming up with Skibidi Toilet, you progress on to the mid-game.
MID-GAME:
The mid-game is, in my opinion, about getting more combat abilities and learning to use them. After unlocking Jelqing, the combat system really opens up. (Pro tip: Jelqing your sword to extend its reach is always a safe option against ranged enemies). There are some emotional moments in this part of the story (I cried when Duke Dennis killed Skibidi Toilet) and you feel really powerful with all the new abilities. The Honkai: Star Rail cameo was ingenious - keep a sharp eye out for it (it happens after the cutscene with Kai Cenat). The two hardest bossfights in this stage of the game are, in my opinion, Shrek and Baby Gronk. After sending all the remaining Betas to Jesus and hawk tuah-ing all their powerful combat abilities, only two obstacles remain between you and your goal of becoming the ultimate Alpha Male: the Giga Chad and the Omega Toilet - the two endgame bosses.
ENDGAME:
The endgame of Pong is comprised of the two final bosses and the postgame. The Giga Chad bossfight is pretty difficult, however you can use Diddy's ability here to cheese it. I won't spoil anything about the Omega Toilet final bossfight, just know that the end-game cutscene is worth the tremendously difficult bossfight before it. The secret Shaggy ending is well worth getting, as it's extremely emotional. My hint towards getting it is to spare Sans...
Overall amazing game, I would rate it as a skibidi gyatt/69.
