as a movie it was fine even if it was a little cringe but in no way is it a sequel to knives out. the directors made the detective a bafoon compared to the detective in knives out. he was made out to be stupid and idiotic, and was used for comic relief rather than and interesting and useful character. the attempts at pop culture references were simply embarrassing and totally ruined the vibe of the movie. overall, nothing blended well and i honestly can't get over the insane personality changes that the detective goes through in the movie.the first movie was great, and this movie being a "sequel" honestly ruins its name.
