I saw Black Widow 3D version last night with friends. I am a male in my 60's who enjoyed every Marvel movie out there, but especially Infinity War, End Game, Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant Man, Spiderman, Doctor Strange and Captain America Civil War. So you know where I'm coming from before you read my review. Words that come to mind regarding the movie include: somewhat long (not that I mind longer movies), somewhat slow moving (with a lot of dialogue, not that there's anything wrong with dialogue), a little bit of humor, nice characters, very good actors, nicely filmed and a film that attempts to develop the character of Black Widow from her beginnings. The movie was ok. Would I want to see it again? I don't think so. (The Marvel movies mentioned at the start of this review I saw multiple times and enjoyed each viewing). There were some small ties to the Avenger movies which I believe would have improved the movie for me if these were elaborated upon. My, there were so many reviews that said this was the BEST Marvel movie ever made. I don't know what Marvel Universe these people are from, as I disagree. It was very good to see a new Marvel Movie being released and many people were waiting to see one. It was good seeing the development of Black Widow from her childhood with her "parents" and "sister" and then how they changed in present time. The villains "home" being hidden in the location it was sort of boggles the mind - "hidden?" really? with today's technology. There was action. Girls fighting girls. Who doesn't like that? Well, maybe I'm not a fan of that, but, when in Rome. It might have improved the movie to have another Avenger involved as hinted at the end trailer which sort of peaked everyone's curiosity. It was a good movie that I'm not sure I would watch again, although I may give it another shot to see if I change my mind. But whatever you do, do not listen to me or anyone else with their reviews. Go see the movie yourself and make up your own mind. We all have our own tastes. Me it's Star Trek that I like and not Star Wars (which I find super boring). That statement likely woke the Wookie in some of you! Well, anyway... go enjoy! The movies are back.
