I cannot, in good faith, recommend this game in its current format.
The good:
- Breathtaking open world that is beautifully crafted.
- Engaging story with good cut scenes.
- Expansive world to explore.
The bad:
- Riddled with bugs.
- The economy is broken: outcome often exceeds income leaving you with broken guns or gear or inability to afford new items.
- Skif has the digestive system of someone with chronic Diarrhoea: you constantly need to eat beyond what is reasonable.
- Exploration is pointless. There is no reward to it. The only items you can find in the open world is ammo, meds and consumables. This makes going to POIโs or stashโs completely dissatisfying because you know whatโs going to be there before you get there. On the odd occasion, youโll find guns and armour.
- There is no crafting system. There is an upgrade system but this requires money: the game would have been much better if theyโd included materials for upgrades that you Gould find in the open world - giving exploration a purpose and reward.
- Which brings me onto my next point. The open world needs valuables that can be found through exploration. Valuables that can be sold for decent/good money. This would fix the economy and also add more value to exploration.
At present, it very much feels like 3/4โs of a game. The missing crafting system and the lack of lootable materials/valuable in the open world is a SIGNIFICANT stain on the games overall playability.
