Ruby Gilman is beautiful in it’s scenery and character design details the characters are all enjoyable. However if you are side character you are given very little screen time and while they don’t need a whole character arc the short amount of time they are given leaves much to be desired. Secondly this movies first act is incredible but it’s second act feels put of for the longest time before it’s shoved into montages and 10 min Are remaining in it. This leads The third act to being just okay it feels cliche and like every high school superhero movie ending. The marketing for Ruby Gillman also doesn’t help as the whole movies has preview clips that leave only 30 minutes of the movie exclusive to theaters. It’s story is still very charming and shows a very accurate depiction of grooming. Ruby is an enjoyable protagonist and her anxiety is shown is such a Real manner it’s incredible. This movie is a great watch for families and especially children
