Unicorns and rainbows, Disney fantasies and expectations have no place in my reality so this movie hits as maybe an all time fav. Absolutely loved the dream-like cinematography and surrealism. The feelings contrived twist happiness and joy with the harsh reality of society and how we view people and use them to fulfill our own needs powerfully. The movie of my life would similarly include childhood trauma, bisexuality, drugs and alcohol all while spending time meeting people's expectations in a whirlwind way that ends when it does. Gritty, raw and too artistic for its time, this movie is as gorgeous as it's muse.
