Being an older person and born in the fifties, I fell in love with Elvis when he first came out and heard him on the radio when I was very young.
I thought and still do he was the most handsome man I had ever seen.
His voice was velvet and I was taken by everything about him.
Since I've seen every movie he made ( even though they weren't the best, ) and read every book written, I was anxious to see the brand new movie ELVIS and finally go it from Netflix.
It was a wonder, and the scenes came on so fast it made my head spin. I had a hard time keeping up with all the flash and color. It was good though and Austin did such a outstanding job playing Elvis in every way.
He got the moves down to a T. and the music brought me back to the fifties and I'll be buying the soundtrack soon.
Tom Hanks was as good as he usually is and played the Colonel, a very nasty, horrible conman that one hated by the end of the movie.
I pride myself on being a movie connoisseur and have been watching only the best films since I was very young too and this film was one of them.
When Elvis passed in 1977, it broke my heart as I had hoped I could see him in Vegas sometime , but sadly never got to.
I keep a large framed black and white picture of him, from the fifties in my living room and look at how beautiful he is daily.
They'll never be another one like him and this film comes the closest to what his life was really like in every way.
