One of my favorite movies. I own a couple of DVD copies. It's been around over 15 years and I still recommend it. Any story that is about Christmas and family is always got a great foundation. The all star cast and talent is incredible. Interviews from the cast when they promoted the film, showed how much fun they had together off screen. That was reflected in the movie. Lots of family dynamics, unique characters, but definitely a lot of love. I recommend a warm blanket, your sweetheart by your side, hot chocolate and maybe a tissue. Guys will laugh at the relationships between siblings, girls will love the love stories, but everyone cheers for love and family. Anyone that doesn't like this movie, didn't get it and certainly didn't watch the entire movie. Christmas seems to bring family together and no matter what. Blood is still thicker than water and you know they are all supporting each other. This is a movie you'll pull out each holiday (a few times during the year as a special bonus) and when you finish watching it, you will pick up the phone to tell your Mother you love her....and maybe other family members too. You may see traces of your dysfunctional family this film and an added bonus, it may give you a great idea for precious and memorable Christmas gifts. So get comfy on the sofa, turn on the Christmas lights and at the end you will remember what family, love and Christmas is all about.
