Absolutely awful.....literally wanted to throw something at the tv! Lazy script writing and plot lines did not do justice to the quality of the cast. The attempt at black comedy missed the mark by a merry mile and just came across as gratuitous and ridiculous. There were too many instances throughout the debacle which left me questioning why anyone, regardless of bereavement, would act in such an absurd manner. This, therefore, making the whole thing unbelievable and a total waste of time. I know times are hard but is this really the best ITV can scrape together?

Emmerdale has been my favourite soap for a long while but I am afraid I just cannot stomach the current storylines any longer and have decided that enough is enough and I am turning it off!! Analysis of current storylines as follows 1. Debbie Dingle getting all huffy over Cain accidentally killing (didn’t mean to kill him....just hurt him) the piece of garbage that lied, conned, tried to ruin her life, evicted her and then left her at the altar for a bag of cash. This from the angel that got pregnant at 15, slept with someone else’s husband, dumped her child so she could have a fling with a girlfriend, cheated on her boyfriend by sleeping with his brother, stealing cars, dragging her kids into a kidnap situation and not forgetting the acid attack. How can someone be so high and mighty when she too wanted someone beaten up, but it all went wrong.....pot, kettle black! 2. Now we have Kerry with the Kyle YoYo scenario.....she wants to take him from Cain, then she hands him back, takes him again, hands him back.........bloody ridiculous! Now crying to Social Services saying Cain is a bad father, but are we supposed to regard her as some sort of angel? 3. Next it’s Maya and Jacob 🤣🤣🤣🤣. This has been dragged out for far too long and is, frankly, laughable! All this manages to do us make me physically cringe whilst reaching for the remote control 🤢🤢🤮. 4. Very soon we shall be inflicted with the annoying, once mothballed, Kim Tate who, quite frankly, should have stayed mothballed. Didn’t like her the first time round and if we are supposed to envisage her as some sort of cougar/man eater then this is a bit of a stretch at best......more like a wrinkly granny fest! After the great storylines we have had lately with Moria/Cain, Emma Barton, Ashley, Ross, Chas and Paddy.......this latest serving of drivel and diatribe is an insult to the great acting from the aforementioned so Emmerdale please go back to what you do best........a bit of drama neatly dispersed with plenty of comedic moments and get rid of this self indulgent incredulous garbage that you are churning out on a daily basis. As it is, for the time being, I shall not continue watching but live in hope that sanity returns, then so will I.
