I personally LOVE this book. it’s definitely worth reading . I don’t like reading , but this book had me wanting to read . i didn’t even realize how much i read at once . this books tackles hard and serious issues , such as sexual assault. this book starts off with the main character eden a freshman in highschool gets sexually assaulted in her own bed from her brother’s friend. i feel like it’s so real for highlighting that sexually assault do usually come from people who are close to you .which i feel is super accurate because it’s a stigma that rape happened when walking home alone or by random strangers . which can happen but not as common as it coming from people close to you , but not only that is goes on to tell you about her struggle to tell anyone bc kevin (her brother’s friend that assaulted her) is a beloved character by the other characters. in the book he’s around the family and he acts like nothing ever happened so she thinks she’s crazy . she questioned her owe sanity. she’s keeping this big secret and to cope with things she becomes rebellious in order to take the edge off of things . and along with her friend . her friend is also going through so real life problems which i think is super cool. and in the book it shows how she wants to tell her parents what happened but is so scared . and every time you think she’s gonna tell her parents she gets too scared to . and o thought that was so real . i LOVE THIS BOOK. everyone should ready it at least once in there life.
