Alpha is by far one of the best pre ice age survival films that I have seen. It combines the beauty of nature with great acting and what we can only speculate what a hunter would have to do in order to survive without their tribe. It has one major twist at the end that was perfectly timed. This film had me crying which I haven't done in 10 years. Ten out of ten film.
