Plays as a way worse version of nightcrawler or such films where the movie is told through the eyes of an evil doing person finding their reasons to do what they do. Quite superficial. The plot is engaging but not executed very well. Characters are very surface level as well. It was not even developed in the slightest that these lawyers were going to be literally doing super hero or spy type of things like getting tortured or fighting and tazing people. That came out of nowhere and really showed off how badly developed the characters were, I thought that it was trying to be a satire of the kind of movie that would do that. Even if it was trying to do a satire, it was still badly executed. They had to fill in the character development that they decided not to do by adding a narrator which did not fit the movie at all, and felt lazy.
Either way, not awful, but Id recommend Nightcrawler which does what this movie tries to do much better.
