As compared to the original Midway from 1976 which was great, the special effects were naturally better. Such an important and horrible day for our country! I was happy they remade it. Not nearly enough young people know how much sacrifice our boys/men made on that fateful day. Way too many take our hard won freedoms for granted. Our education should spend alot more time on this, especially considering the fact that we fought and won at 2 theaters of war - the Germans AND the Japanese at the same time! I do not believe this could be accomplished today, given our current divisiveness and apathy. There's so much talk about patriotism these days, unfortunately they don't know the true meaning of the word!!!
