I thought this was a really beautiful movie. Just stunningly shot. Everyone in the film gave a great performance. I was really impressed by Luca Calvani, Eduardo Noriego, and Lorenzo McGovern. And Amber Heard was actually a great lead -- her performance was multifaceted, engrossing and vulnerable. I thought the film might be a one note kind of Satanic possession movie (and I like those on occasion) but this film was far more complex and emotional. It illustrated how fear can fester among people and turn a community into something ugly and brutal. But how truth and love can be beacons of hope. It gave me goosebumps at some parts. I hope people actually give this film a chance, despite the review bombing from deranged fans of a certain drunk pirate.
