This is my first time writing a review (as I usually don't bother) and hardly give 5 stars but this c-drama is SOOOOOOO AWESOME I felt I will not do it justice if I don't pen my review . Besides the great plot (I couldn't stop once I pass Ep 1), the drama has all the elements which one can ask for in a c-drama - comedy, intense moments, fighting scene, imperial court, battle/war and romance. It covers family, friendship, relationship with master, superior, colleagues & relatives, the court/Emperor and of course, love. There is sufficient development for the characters and the chemistry between Allen Ren & Seven Tan is simply amazing and unstoppable! My heart skipped a beat whenever Allen looks at Seven with his lovely gaze. WOO-HOO!! The story delivers perfectly how Seven melts the heart of her superior (Allen) with her witty character, intelligence and yet truthful and playful character. I have re-watched many of the scenes which showed how the love seeds where planted in their hearts and watched more than 5 times the roof top kissing scene. Allen delivered his role with perfection, an upright imperial secret police officer who is always in control, cool and sometimes aloof but the scene in the final episode where Allen met Seven while he was in jail, I teared when I saw him teared. You could feel the emotion, pain and agony of a man who probably never teared in his life besides his parents' passing. My heart ache when I saw him teared. And Seven is just made for this role, a witty, courageous, lovely gal who is true to herself and believes in integrity despite being exposed to the temptation of bribery and her desire for more money to look for her birth parents. Her eyes are just amazing, expressing her emotions, wishful thinking and holding back her feelings for Allen - her acting is unbeatable. One of the unforgettable scene was how she rolled her eyes when Allen asked her "Have you seen enough?" when they were both soaked in the outdoor hot bath. Another compliment must be given to their amazing costume, esp that Allen was wearing. I watched repeatedly his different secret imperial police costumes and his casual wear. I have watched many c-drama and I must say the secret imperial police costumes are the best I have seen. Allen looks really good in red and the imperial secret police costume he wore at the monastery simply made him look dashing! With Allen's cool look and reserved character, and yet lovey dovey eyes looking at Seven, it can relly melt your heart!! My only wish is if only there were 1-2 more kissing scene. Kidos to the team! Hope the team is considering to produce a sequel! Overall, This is a MUST watch c-drama!!!
